	Murphy - He is an 12-year-old miracle. When he was 6 months old, he was critically injured in a car accident. He had life-threatening brain injuries, and was hospitalized for a total of 6 weeks. During that time, he had surgery to implant a shunt (a tube that drains fluid from his brain into his abdomen). 	Carlie (Mom) - Carlie works for Grinnell College, in Grinnell, Iowa. She is the Assistant Director of Institutional Research. She also teaches classes for the University of Phoenix Online, where her specialty is UNIX.
	Grandma - Murphy's grandma is a registered nurse. Grammy is Murphy's favorite person and can always be counted on to play ball, wrestle, or make his favorite chickey muggets, chips and coke!
